Welcome to my world of dowsing or some say divining which is generally “the art of finding things”. Whether it be a forked twig, metal rods or pendulum, used correctly and for the right reasons people can use this craft for almost anything, it could be searching for water or minerals, lost objects, decision making, assisting with medical diagnosis and holistic healing.

In one form or the other, dowsing has been around probably as long as life has been on our planet, using earth energies to find food and water sources, tracking and travelling, generally all walks of life finding things to survive on. Professional dowsers have assisted the police with particular cases, large corporations and even governments. I have recently read that Emperor Kuang Yu (2205-2197 BC) proclaimed that and edict (effective to modern day), which reads “No dwelling shall be built until the earth diviners have confirmed that the intended site be freed of earth demons”. I have also heard that some countries in Europe have similar things in place. It’s a pity that nothing like this has not yet happened in the UK.

I’ve now been dowsing for more than 30 years and honed the art while working for a drilling company carrying out boreholes for building purposes. While doing this I was given my first set of dowsing rods by a geologist pal of mine who could never make them twitch (move), so before he threw them away, he offered me the challenge which I duly took. I then found myself finding electric, gas, water and sewage pipes to not damage. We didn’t have a services scanner so I got the job.

Fast forward many years, a number of books about dowsing and a random invitation to attend an informal meeting at a local pub, this is where I met my now mentor and friend who has shown me a completely different direction for my talent which I have found to be one of the most interesting, fascinating and inspiring directions in my life so far. It’s a positive extension to what I had already learnt. I have a lot to thank this man for as he has inspired and helped me into a new way of thinking. Thanks to him and all of the established reputable and passionate experts that I have met, listened to and worked with (on both sides of my mystical and awe-inspiring curtain) have helped create a new path.
